About Kanzlei Disli
Our story
The life story of the Kurdish attorney Necdal Dişli — whose career is one of the finest examples of successful integration in Germany — is remarkable.
Attorney Necdal Dişli, admitted before all German courts since 2010 through the Dişli law firm he founded in Oldenburg, was born in 1973 in a Kurdish village in the Viranşehir district of Urfa province.
Dişli attended primary school in Urfa from 1980 to 1985. Despite consistently excellent academic performance, he was unable to attend secondary school there due to the political situation in Turkey and the difficult economic circumstances of his parents, Seydi and Hinna Dişli.
These and similar circumstances led the Dişli family to emigrate to Germany in 1988. Although no family member spoke German, Necdal Dişli and his siblings Selma, Safet, Nurcan, Ayla, Rafet, Cora and Hülya succeeded in integrating both socially and economically. All completed secondary school and today hold leadership positions in a wide range of professions.
Necdal Dişli laid the foundation for a successful future while still at school. Although he began at the Ulricianum grammar school in Aurich without comprehensive German skills, he learned English, Spanish and Latin and even skipped the eighth grade.
While still at school, in 1994 he founded the oriental restaurant Serhard together with his siblings and parents. With this restaurant he earned the money he needed for his law studies.
In 2003 Necdal Dişli began his studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hamburg, which he completed in six semesters (the national average is nine).
Immediately after passing the first state examination in 2009 and completing his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg, he founded his own law firm in his new home city of Oldenburg.
Since then he has supported numerous young Kurdish people and campaigns with commitment for the protection of their rights before German institutions and courts.
